Cities in South Africa are slowly changing, with more emphasis being placed on living closer to central business districts.
One such company helping to fund suppliers in building out more affordable housing in Gauteng cities, in particular, is Futuregrowth. The investment company has a very interesting arrangement with the Gauteng Partnership Fund (GPF) in helping to roll out new stock to the market. The market category targeted include households that earn up R18 000 per month. Having decent, well-built affordable housing is critical to our future, especially as urban migration in areas such as Gauteng become more pronounced. – Gareth van Zyl
